  • Yori Broussard, LPC -Trainee

    Greetings, I’m Yori Broussard!

I am currently a graduate student at Walden University pursuing my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in Trauma and Crisis. Previously, I earned a B.A. in Psychology from Southern New Hampshire University.  Through my experience working with children in the field of behavioral therapy and intervention for over 3 years, I have reinforced skills in building rapport, supporting emotional regulation, and fostering meaningful connections. I am also fortunate to have experiences with living outside the United States for many years, providing me with the opportunity to engage in cultural immersion through travel, which has shaped my commitment to providing culturally responsive and inclusive care. My counseling approach is compassionate and client-centered, and I value implementing evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness. I am passionate about helping individuals navigate challenges, foster inner strength, improve wellness, and work toward meaningful personal growth.

A few things I’d love to share about myself are that I love sports, hiking, relaxing to some music, and spending time with loved ones. I have three cats who never make for a dull moment, each in their own unique way. I also find that a good sunrise or sunset near the ocean feeds my soul!

As a trainee during my practicum and internship with Synergistic Body and Mind, I am eager to continue my growth and development as an individual and professional. I am immensely grateful to offer an empathetic, supportive space for you to share what may be on your heart and/or mind!
